ADVOCACY & INDUSTRY UPDATE

Mr Cheah - MPMA President and Nik - of Ssessments, with Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani - MITI Minister, at a meeting on 27 August to follow up on issues recently raised by MPMA with relevant ministries. The session focused on import duty challenges and the influx of cheap Chinese products. Local manufacturers stand to benefit from these discussions, as MITI now plans to submit a policy paper to the Cabinet soon, aimed at protecting the local plastics industry.
