MPMA’s Sustainability activities started way back in year 1992 with the formation of Plastics Waste Management Task Force to look into plastics waste management in the country. Since then, numerous programmes and activities were conducted every year including the launch of ‘Don’t Be A Litterbug’ Media and PR Campaign in year 2012 to drive the message of anti-littering across the country.

The main objectives of MPMA’s Sustainability activities are to:

• Address the misconception of plastics, and safety and health of plastics;
• Promote the 3Rs and plastics is recyclable; and
• Create awareness on waste management.
