MPMA PE Pipes and Fittings Group, which earlier known as MPMA PE Pipes and Fittings Sub-committee, comprises members from PE pipe resin suppliers, PE pipes and fittings manufacturers was established in early 1990s. The main objectives of the group are to regulate and monitor PE pipes and fittings industry in Malaysia conform to the latest standard of practise in accordance to MS 1058:2005.

MPMA PE Pipes and Fittings Group is one of the group manage by Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association (MPMA) that specifically look into the issues related to polyethylene industry. The group keeps close contact with various water authorities and government agencies to make sure the quality assurance and testing requirements of PE pipes and fittings is keep on track.
