On 9 July 2025, Mr CC Cheah, MPMA President and Datuk Noraini, MPMA Vice-President, together with representatives from the Malaysia Bottled Water Manufacturers Association (MBWA) and Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), met with TNB’s team from the Stakeholder Management Division to seek clarification on the recently announced new electricity tariffs.

TNB explained that the new electricity tariffs are incentive-based tariffs aimed at promoting the efficient use of electricity, reflecting the market’s needs and trends. TNB anticipates that most of the users are likely to see a reduction in their energy bill.
