MPMA recently participated in a meeting with the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) and Malaysian Petrochemicals Association (MPA) on 9 June 2025 to address urgent concerns facing the local plastics industry.

The discussion was constructive, with both MITI and MPA expressing understanding of the industry's challenges, especially on the influx of cheap plastic products from China. MPMA will continue to engage closely with all stakeholders to seek viable solutions and ensure the long-term sustainability and competitiveness of the Malaysian plastics sector.
